ARIZONA & NEW MEXICO FISHING GUIDES
Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. offers guided trout fishing on Silver Creek and Big Lake in Arizona, trout or bass trips on Arizona's Black River, and multi-day trout trips on the San Juan in New Mexico. Our trips are designed for small groups of up to six anglers, with loaner fly rods and reels available upon request and all flies included.
GUIDED EXPERIENCES
Every trip is designed around small groups, personal instruction, and time spent actually fishing. Groups are limited to a maximum of six anglers.
A multi-day trout experience built around one of the West's best-known fisheries. San Juan trips are full-day only with a three-day minimum. Lunch is included each fishing day.

You do not need to own a full fly-fishing setup to book a trip with Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. We can help provide the equipment needed to make the day enjoyable and productive.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. trips are limited to a maximum of six anglers. This keeps the experience personal and allows us to give each angler meaningful time and attention on the water.
No. Loaner fly rods and reels can be provided upon request. If you have your own equipment and prefer to fish it, you are welcome to bring it.
Yes. All flies used during the trip are included. Appropriate fly-fishing tackle is also available as part of the guided experience.
Conventional fishing tackle is available on a limited basis depending on the location, target species, and current fishing conditions. Contact us before your trip if you would like to discuss conventional tackle options.
San Juan, New Mexico trips are offered as full-day trips only. Silver Creek, Black River, and Big Lake trips in Arizona are offered as either half-day or full-day trips. Lunch is included on full-day trips.
Absolutely. Trips can be tailored to first-time anglers, experienced fly anglers, families, and private groups.
Guests are responsible for obtaining any required fishing license or permit for the state and fishery being visited. We can provide location-specific instructions before your trip.
Bring weather-appropriate clothing, polarized sunglasses, sun protection, water, and any personal items you may need. A more detailed packing list can be provided based on your destination and season.
WEATHER & SAFETY
Fishing trips generally continue through normal changes in weather. Lightning, severe weather, or any other circumstance that creates a safety hazard will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. reserves the right to delay, relocate, modify, reschedule, or end a trip when conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.
BOOKING POLICIES
By booking a trip with Brown Rhodes Fishing Co., guests acknowledge and agree to the following deposit, cancellation, weather, and refund terms.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your trip date. The remaining 50% balance is due 24 hours prior to the scheduled trip. San Juan reservations are subject to a three-day minimum, and the deposit is based on the total booked trip.
Reservations are not considered fully confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
More than 14 days before the trip: The deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred one time to another available trip date within 12 months. Any payment made above the deposit amount will be refunded.
7–14 days before the trip: Payments are non-refundable, but the amount paid may be applied as a one-time credit toward another available trip within 12 months.
Less than 7 days before the trip: No refund or trip credit will be issued, except at the discretion of Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. in extraordinary circumstances.
Same-day cancellation or no-show: The full trip price is forfeited.
Each reservation is eligible for one customer-requested reschedule when the request is made within the applicable cancellation window above. Rescheduled trips must be completed within 12 months of the original trip date and are subject to availability.
Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. fishes in most weather conditions. Rain, wind, cold, heat, or other normal changes in weather do not automatically qualify a trip for cancellation or refund.
Lightning, severe weather, wildfire conditions, unsafe road or water conditions, government closures, or any other circumstance that creates a safety hazard will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Safety decisions made by the guide are final.
If Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. determines that conditions make it unsafe or impractical to conduct the trip, guests may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of payments made to Brown Rhodes Fishing Co.
If Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. must cancel a trip because of guide illness, emergency, equipment failure, closure, unsafe conditions, or another circumstance that prevents us from reasonably providing the booked trip, the guest may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of all payments made to Brown Rhodes Fishing Co.
Brown Rhodes Fishing Co. is not responsible for lodging, airfare, rental vehicles, fuel, fishing licenses, permit fees, meals not specifically included with the trip, or other travel-related expenses incurred by guests.
Full-day trips include lunch. Guests should notify us in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Submission of a booking request and payment of the required deposit constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these policies.
